Rebelové jsou novým českým muzikálem a zároveň nejnovějším počinem režiséra Filipa Renče (Requiem pro panenku, Válka barev). Pozici hlavních hrdinů zde zastává šestice mladých přátel, shodou okolností tři dívky a tři chlapci, kteří spolu prožijí poněkud netradiční předmaturitní líbánky v neblaze vyhlížejícím období naší historie. Pokud vám totiž není známo, že je nový Renčův film označován coby písničkový retrofilm, musíte se coby diváci vypořádat s faktem, že je děj českého muzikálu situován do roku 1968, kdy do našeho státu nečekaně vtrhli ruští vojáci. Stejně jako v ostatních snímcích podobného rázu, i zde se přesvědčíme o tom, že láska kvete nejen v každém věku, nýbrž i v kdejakém strastiplném období. Vojenští dezertéři Šimon, Bob a Eman a trojice krásných studentek Tereza, Bugyna a Julča budou mít opravdu na co vzpomínat... Filip Renč je poněkud zvláštní a smůlou ověnčený režisér, ne nadarmo mnohými diváky označován jako extravagantní. Pomineme-li však řadu nemilých afér, které propluli Renčovým životem stejně rychle jako soudní procesy okolo Michaela Jacksona, naší mysl a podvědomí oslní nadměrný režisérský talent a vrozená píle okořenit svá filmová díla neotřelými nápady, originálními prvky a jinými ozvláštňujícími vsuvkami. Přestože se jeho poslední film, tedy Válka barev, obešel bez výraznějšího úspěchu, Rebelové mají naproti tomu všechny ambice na ulovení tučného zisku z řad nenasytných českých diváků. Vzhledem k tomu, že jsem ještě neměl příležitost tento snímek zhlédnout, přináším vám menší náplast v podobě obsáhlého a zajímavého článku. Nápad natočit retrospektický muzikál ze šedesátých let se vlastně zrodil v hlavě samotného režiséra. V době, kdy byla sepsána první verze scénáře, o níž se mimo jiné zasloužil Filip Renč ve Spojených státech, datoval se rok 1996 a nadějný thriller Válka barev se zrovna brodil divokými peřeji českých filmových kinosálů. Výsledná podoba scénáře si nakonec vynutila čtrnáct nepovedených verzí a zřetelnou výpomoc zkušeného scénáristy Zdeňka Zelenky (výsledná podoba scénáře není prý tak okouzlující, alespoň soudě podle mnoha kritik). Po probdělých nocích plné nejistoty pak zachvátila všechny tvůrce v čele s Renčem další bodná rána, a to konkurs na obsazení hlavních rolí - jakýsi "casting". O roli v Rebelech, byť sebemenší, se ucházelo na šest tisíc zpěváků, tanečníků a herců. Jen nepatrné procento uchazečů si však získalo přízeň tvůrců natolik, aby byli obsazeni. Konkursy byly podle slov očitých svědků velice náročné a v každém případě do veliké míry vyčerpávající. Nábory navíc probíhali v několika kolech, krom toho i na Slovensku. Například Zuzana Norisová, hlavní dívčí hrdinka, chytla šanci za pačesy až v druhém kole, poté, co o ní v prvním kole neprojevil žádný z filmařů zájem. Paradoxem nakonec zůstává zjištění, že většina obsazených herců-rebelů pochází právě ze Slovenska. Na všechny zúčastněné nápadníky byly kladeny vysoké nároky. Filip Renč měl o svých hrdinech přesné představy, a tudíž hodně dbal na to, aby neprohloubil. Kamarádka Zuzany Norisové, Alžběta Stanková, měla taktéž veliké štěstí, když byla vybraná mezi nejlépe vyhlížející účastníky, i přesto, že při konkursu na malou chvíli zaspala v čekárně. Perličkou na dortu je pak obsazení Jana Svěráka do role českého pohraničníka. Po celou dobu příprav zužovala Filipa Renče velká nejistota vyvolaná absencí hlavního producenta. K připravovaným Rebelům se totiž nikdo nehlásil, a když už se někdo ozval, vyklubal se z něho jenom nafoukaný podvodník. Čachry okolo českých filmů nabírají v poslední době na obrátkách - investice do českého bijáku je stejně riskantní jako vysoká sázka na outsidera ve Velké pardubické. Z pohledu českých diváků se není čemu divit, protože počet finančně úspěšných filmů by se dal vyčíslit prsty jedné ruky. Po mnoha nekalostech a zklamáních se nakonec ujal produkce snímku František Janda, bývalý československý důstojník, nyní ředitel koprodukční společnosti S Pro Alfa film (Princezna ze mlejna 2, Eliška má ráda divočinu). Z dalších významných osob, které se nějakou měrou zasloužili o velice nadějné Rebely, stojí za zmínku jméno vedoucího architekta Karla Černého, který je jen tak mimochodem vlastníkem cenného Oscara za scény ve Formanově snímku Amadeus. Jak jsem již jednou naznačil, film Rebelové není dílem dvou či tří lidí, nýbrž celé plejády tvůrců, kteří si od nás, nás českých a slovenských diváků, zaslouží jeden velký dík, za to, že po dlouhé době navštívil naše kina pořádný domácí film. Opět se budu opakovat, když napíši, že film s celkovým rozpočtem sedmadvaceti miliónů korun má vysoké předpoklady na úspěch nejen v českých kinech. Podle režiséra Renče má totiž jeho film stejný potenciál jako Pelíšky či tolikrát ověnčení Samotáři. K tomu není třeba dalších slov...
REBELOVÉ - tak zní titul třetího celovečerního filmu režiséra Filipa Renče, který tentokráte nezvolil psychologické drama, ale podle scénáře, který napsal se Zdeňkem Zelenkou, natočil žánr diváky daleko vítanější, a to muzikál s upřesňujícím podtitulem "Písničkový retrofilm z let 60.".
